I completed my massage certification in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1990 and have been practicing since then on both the West and East coasts. I currently hold a Virginia State Massage Therapy license, National Certification and am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. In 1997 I founded Eye Street Massage Therapy, a healing center in the heart of downtown Washington DC, dedicated to the treatment of the common repetitive stress problems of corporate life in the big city. I commuted to DC from Charlottesville for many years and in 2007 I passed the torch to my office manager to raise my twin girls and to enjoy life in these beautiful mountains. I am excited to finally be practicing closer to home in the Charlottesville community. The focus of my work is the relief of chronic and acute pain patterns. I have studied many different modalities over the years, which I integrate into my sessions, but my primary focus is through Neuromuscular Therapy. I have had success in working with clients to relieve chronic and acute pain patterns, including headaches, lower back pain, TMJ, carpal tunnel syndrome, migraines, tendinitis, and many other patterns of discomfort. I strive to help my clients reach a pain-free state through hands-on treatment as well as to cultivate self-care through body awareness.
